The easier a URL is to read for humans, the better it is for search engines, and the better ranking your store pages will get. Links for store pages used to be longer in Netcash Shop and included extra symbols, now they are short and consist of the names and IDs of respective products and categories:

If you are selling with Netcash Shop on WordPress, Wix or Netcash Shop Instant Site, SEO-friendly URLs are available to you out of the box.

In case your online store is installed on other platforms (e.g. Joomla, Adobe Muse) or a custom-made website, read on to learn how to manually enable clean URLs in your store.

Clean store URLs in Joomla

To enable clean URLs for your online store on Joomla:

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Ecwid plugin for Joomla (Netcash Shop is the local Ecwid partner) installed. SEO-friendly URLs were released in the plugin v.3.
2. Go to Components → Ecwid → Advanced Settings in your Joomla admin area.
3. Enable the option SEO friendly clean URLs:

Clean store URLs in other site builders and custom-made websites

If you are selling with Netcash Shop on a custom-made website, you can manually enable clean SEO URLs for your store. The process involves minor changes in your server configuration and Netcash Shop integration code. In case you are not sure how to perform them, please reach out to your website developer or site builder/hosting support for help.

In case you do not have access to the server to make the changes, you can have semi-clean URLs in your store (example.com/shop?store-page=My-Product-p123) by adding a few lines of a ready script above your Netcash Shop integration code.
